The Vosler Young Artists’ Studio is partnering with the Stuart Street Atelier in The Plains, Virgina, to offer a third location for one-week Classic Summer Drawing Workshop for Teens in 2016.
We are pleased to offer a third location for our popular teen summer workshops from August, 7-11, 2017. The Stuart Street Atelier will host and co-sponsor this Summer Workshop for teens ages 12 to 18. The Vosler Young Artists’ Studio, founded by James and Kerry Vosler in 2010, started their flagship classical art program for children ages 7 to 18 in Tampa, Florida. Responding to the need for quality skills-based classical art instruction the Vosler’s saw a great need to create a program specifically for young artists. Music, dance and sports all have programs for youth to help them develope their basic fundamental skills why not the arts!
Since its inception the Vosler Young Artists’ Studio has seen early and unexpected successes directly related to their program of instruction. In 2013 VYAS Student, Yeats Ihrig, received a Honorable Mention for his self portrait at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, 2nd Annual Teen Portrait Competition. In March of 2015, Owen Delaney was juried into, Hillsborough Student Surrealist Art Exhibition, “Psyched Out: Reinvented Myths” DALI Museum, St. Petersburg, Florida, for his pencil drawing, “Fiji Mermaid.” VYAS students have a greater presence in the local Scholastic Art and Writing competitions. Along with their successful program the Vosler Young Artists’ Studio has an impressive advisory board. Kerry Vosler’s reach in the art world, as a professional artist, gives her a unique opportunity to provide her students great advice and direction whether they attend a university program or pursue arts education through the new Atelier system acredited by the Arts Renewal Center.
The Vosler Young Artists’ Studio has been featured on “THE LIST” on ABC, & Featured on “Whats Right with Tampa Bay,” Tampa, Florida. Additionally Author, James Gurney, has featured us on his wildly successful blog.
